ogomLogicA lot of people believe that New Orleans is not open for business yet, and that's just not true. The city is a little battered, but we will be back better than ever. As a true testament to our spirit, you will find that every 4-year and most 2-year colleges in New Orleans are open and educating the most diverse and capable groups of young adults on the planet.
That's why the combined career services staffs from Dillard, Loyola, Our Lady of Holy Cross, Southern University, Tulane, University of New Oreans, and Xavier University invite you to come to New Orleans and recruit your butt off!!!
Some may consider the ability to fly into a large, 30,000+ university and stay for a few days as an advantage for recruiting. Yet, we contend that not every university is great at everything. In New Orleans, you have the best programs in the most diverse disciplines that you will find anywhere in the country. Our schools represent the finest in business, education, engineering, computer science, biological and chemical research, and much, much more.

The Association of New Orleans Career Services Offices invites you to learn how to develop an internship program that will allow you to recruit students once, but hire them twice and keep them after they graduate. If your company has an established internship program or is looking to create one, then this workshop is for you.
Meet with representatives from all of the local career services offices.
Discuss recruiting strategies that will create a more effective internship program.
Learn techniques that will make you successful on campus.
Network with professionals from other businesses who are
developing internship programs.
Fall Events
Each university or a combination of universities hold their own unique career fair in the fall semester as well as on campus interviewing and other events. The individual institutional pages will list links to sign-up for career fairs and learn more about their offices.
Spring Events
Our premier event each spring is the Mardi Gras Invitational (MGI) Career Fair which is held during the Thursday and Friday before the first weekend of the carnival season. We can't confirm the numbers, but it has been rumored that many company representatives that attend MGI seem to book flights out of New Orleans on Saturday or Sunday so they can understand the local culture some more. Secondly, we come together for the New Orleans Citywide Teacher Fair for our local education majors and those seeking jobs in education.
